About mBank

mBank is called an icon of mobility – it was the first internet bank in Poland. It is currently one of the largest and fastest growing financial institutions in the country and is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. mBank is the third-largest bank in Poland in terms of number of customers.


The bank (previously named BRE Bank) was founded over 27 years ago and was one of the pioneers in the field of corporate banking in Poland. In 2000, BRE Bank began to provide services to retail customers and the company launched a new brand called mBank, offering its services only on the internet. It was later joined by MultiBank, representing the traditional retail banking model. BRE Bank offered its services under three brands. In 2008 it entered the Czech and Slovak markets, operating there under the mBank brand.RebrandingIn 2013, the organisation that had been providing services to different groups of customers, ranging from young people, micro-enterprises, affluent individuals to the largest corporations, decided to stress the universal nature of its business by adopting one common brand – mBank. The three brands joined forces under the mBank brand, as it enjoyed the strongest recognition of all the members of the Group.


mBank’s vision of the future – "Powered by you" – is focused on customers' needs and intended to meet these needs adequately. In 2013, mBank presented the company’s new values and new image. Today’s goal is to build the most customer-friendly bank in Poland under the mBank logo displayed in different colours depending on the offering type.

Icon of mobility and innovation

mBank has the best transactional service in Europe. It stands out for features such as integrated money management, search tools, contextual deals, video-banking and attractive product presentation in the sales module. mBank’s mobile application has won recognition in Europe and around the world. The Bank focuses on comfort and safety while signing up and logging into the application. The application offers simple transfers and easy payment methods and communicates with customers using alerts. Customers are able to contact the bank’s support team in a fast and easy way on their mobile devices.


Every year, mBank receives several awards for the quality of its products and services. Technological solutions implemented by mBank were also noticed by Forrester Research, one of the most renowned advisory companies in the world. In its special reports, Forrester described the solutions and innovations offered by mBank’s new online and mobile banking. mBank has ranked in top positions in a number of competitions, proving its leading position in the European and global mobile banking.mBank’s solutions are not only awarded in international rankings, but are also very popular with customers, which is best illustrated by statistics.

mBank licensed its electronic banking solution to a French partner

The internationally awarded mobile and internet banking platform will be offered to other financial institutions outside Poland. The first licence has been bought by France’s La Banque Postale. Accenture is mBank’s strategic partner and will help implement the solution at La Banque Postale. At the same time, mBank’s app was hailed as the most convenient and user-friendly.

mBank has just introduced a mobile app with the Android Pay functionality, the possibility of logging in with a fingerprint, also in the Android platform, and a display of clients’ spending rate to help them control their budget. The design of the app was inspired by users’ opinions and habits. All this to create a mobile tool that meets each and every expectation of its user.
mBank will invest EUR 50 million in new technologies for financial institutions

mBank will set up the first fund in Central and Eastern Europe that will specialise in developing and commercialising new technologies. The Polish bank wants to become one of the leaders shaping the financial sector’s digital transformation. The investment will be of benefit to mBank’s customers who will be the first to get access to the new solutions.
