11 October 2024 The Polish Financial Supervision Authority gave its consent to the appointment of Cezary Kocik as the president of the management board of mBank. It means that he may now take all actions and decisions reserved for this function by the provisions of law and internal regulations.
The positive decision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority is the last step in the planned and transparent succession process for the position of the president of the management board of mBank.
Cezary Kocik has 30-year professional experience in the banking sector, including over 12 years of service on the Management Board of mBank as Vice-President, Head of Retail Banking. In 2007-2024 he was responsible for a comprehensive offer of products and services for individual clients, entrepreneurs and small businesses on three markets: Polish, Czech and Slovak. Additionally, he supervised the segment of private banking and wealth management clients, the brokerage office and the investment fund management company of mBank (mTFI). Cezary Kocik also has hands-on experience in credit risk management, restructuring and debt collection, internal audit and investment banking. In 2000-2004 he managed one of the largest branches of Bank Pekao S.A.
Cezary Kocik graduated from the University of Łódź with a degree in Finance and Banking. He completed the Advanced Management Program AMP at Harvard Business School in 2015 and the Strategic Management in Banking course at INSEAD in 2018. He has a securities broker license.
