On 4 July 2024 Cezary Stypułkowski handed in his resignation as president of the management board of mBank with immediate effect. His resignation was submitted following consultations with the Supervisory Board and is an integral part of the succession process. The process, which was conducted in line with the best practices, was transparent and organised. On 5 June 2024 Cezary Kocik was conditionally appointed as president of the management board of mBank. Moreover, the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of the Supervisory Board recommended Krzysztof Bratos as a candidate for vice-president of the management board in charge of retail banking to replace Cezary Kocik.
The last 14 years with Cezary Stypułkowski at the helm was a period of dynamic growth for mBank, despite a challenging market environment. Cezary managed the bank in a stable manner, putting his visionary and pioneering ideas into practice. Cezary Stypułowski took the helm at mBank in October 2010. Since then the bank has strengthened its position as the most technologically advanced and customer-friendly online banking platform.

Among all the projects implemented throughout this time, the new online banking platform launched to retail clients in June 2013 deserves special recognition. With more than 200 new functionalities, the platform offered clients the original discount programme “mOkazje” and one of the first “finance manager” solutions in Poland.
Also in 2013 the bank underwent a rebranding, unifying its three brands (BRE Bank, mBank and MultiBank) under the commercially strongest brand name mBank.
In February 2014 mBank launched the first fully transactional mobile app, which hit one million users after only one year. Currently the app is used by over 3.7 million clients in Poland, Czechia and Slovakia.
In November 2017 mBank established a continuing partnership with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). Since then mBank has encouraged its employees and clients to support WOŚP not only during the grand finale events, but also throughout the year.
