New Management Board member for investment banking at BRE Bank

At the coming meeting of the Supervisory Board of BRE Bank, Maciej Leśny, the Chairman will recommend Hans-Dieter Kemler as Management Board member responsible for investment banking. Mr. Kemler will replace Bernd Loewen who handed in his resignation in March 2009. 

"In accordance with the recent announcements, if Bernd Loewen signs the managerial contract with KfW, from 1 July 2009 he will cease to act as Bank Director and member of the Management Board for investment banking. It will not be long before he is succeeded, as Hans-Dieter is ready to take up new challenges" – says Maciej Leśny, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BRE Bank.

Let us recall that Bernd Loewen's resignation will become final and binding at the moment of signing the managerial contract with KfW.

Hans-Dieter Kemler has been working in the banking sector for more than 20 years.  His professional career started in the Bond Trading Department of German Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt.

Mr. Kemler has been working for the Commerzbank Group since 1998. At first, he acted as Head of Corporate Risk Advisory in the bank's Head Office. Since 2005, he has been a member of the second management level responsible for international public finance.

Hans-Dieter Kemler graduated from the Westphalian Wilhelm University of Münster with a degree in business administration. Mr. Kemler is married and has one child.
