Forrester: mBank's banking in the top international league

Forrester Research, a global research and advisory firm, has analysed services offered by banks in order to find the most innovative solutions. mBank has proven to be beyond competition, taking the first place in the category of online banking in Europe and coming at the forefront among the best mobile banking solutions in the world.

Forrester Research analysed banks' offers by comparing them in terms of needs of a typical user of online and mobile banking. The criteria for autonomous reports conducted on various markets in the world were prepared on the basis of a consumer survey in which the interviewees were asked about the functions of banking services they use most often.Report on online bankingIn the case of online banking ("Comparison of functionalities of online banks in Europe in 2014") the analysts of Forrester scrutinised banking services of ten big retail banks and compared them in terms of nine categories: account management, money movement, money management, security and login, cross-selling, self-service features, assisted service features, alerts and eDelivery. On the grounds of these findings online banking of mBank was recognised as the best in Europe, scoring 82 out of 100 points possible and winning in five out of all categories mentioned above.Functionalities of the service that obtained the best score from Forrester:money movement: mBank enables users to make payments by means of telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and Facebook ids;account management: The basic activities, such as checking account balance or transaction history, still constitute the majority of activities carried out in banking services. mBank became a leader in this area thanks to the speed and user-friendliness of its e-banking service, the possibility of customising the user's interface, transparent visualisations of account balance and advanced search options in the transaction history as well;money management: the authors of the report are of the opinion that convenientcash management is the key element of digital banking.

mBank is the leader in this area since it is able to combine the categorisation of expenditures with the transaction history and enables users to check their current balance by means of only one click;cross-selling:
- mBank overtook the competition thanks to its special section devoted to its offers, the possibility to decide which ones are to be used within the transaction history and the mOkazje application on Facebook;
- assisted service features: In the research it was evaluated how easy it is to obtain support of a bank consultant in transactional service. mBank proved to be the best thanks to its video banking (the Online expert service).

Report on mobile bankingmBank reached the podium in other two reports on mobile banking prepared by Forrester as well- in both international and European editions - coming third and overtaking in the global ranking as many as 30 other banks("Comparison of functionalities offered in the scope of mobile banking in Europe in 2014").Among the major strengths of the Polish banking application the authors of the report named a wide range of functions offered (e.g. the possibility of opening deposits), security, the convenience of registration and logging into mBank applications (pairing of device in the transactional system and PIN authentication). On the other hand, the tools aiming at cash management and mOkazje, which is the first and currently one of the very few solutions of this kind in terms of personalized sale on the European market, were deemed by Forrester to be the benchmark for the entire market.
