For the second consecutive time mBank was among the winners of the international Model Bank Awards competition organised by Celent, a global consulting firm. This year experts appreciated mBank’s insurance sales model.
The international Model Bank Awards competition organised by Celent Research, a global consulting firm, rewards financial institutions that are making the best use of modern technologies in the banking industry and set a benchmark of a skilful adjustment of the latest solutions to specific market expectations.
mBank’s insurance sales model was hailed as the best in the category “Innovation and Emerging Technologies”. Experts particularly appreciated the multi-channel model of offering insurance products, including via electronic channels. The rewarded projects were evaluated according to three basic criteria, with particular focus on financial results and the size of conducted business, innovativeness and effective implementation of new technologies.
What put mBank among this year’s winners, was its sales model where the comprehensive insurance portfolio comprising more than 30 complete products is offered entirely from a distance, via modern processes and through all the available channels, including via the Internet, phone, mobile devices, video-calls and in outlets.- Being a winner of such a prestigious award proves that over the last years, we have managed to produce the best - not only in terms of technology - model of offering insurance products by a bank. The award is a clear sign of our market position, effectiveness and innovativeness that we are going to develop further in cooperation with AXA - said Jarosław Mastalerz, Vice-President of mBank’s Management Board for Operations and IT.
mBank has been offering insurance products since 2006 when it started selling insurance products combined with banking solutions. Ever since the model has undergone material changes and has evolved into offering standalone insurance products. Thanks to continuous improvements mBank is now serving more than half a million clients within its insurance business.Last year mBank entered into a strategic partnership agreement with AXA, a leading insurance group, providing for close cooperation between the two companies in selling life and property insurance products.
