mBank proposes attractive settlements to its clients who are repaying loans in CHF. It reduces the loan principal and offers semi-fixed interest at a competitive level of 4.99%. The process of signing settlements is simple and does not burden borrowers with red tape.
Following the end of the pilot phase mBank has launched the programme of offering CHF settlements to its clients. It provides for converting the loan currency from CHF to PLN and, at the same time, reducing the outstanding principal. The reduction terms will be agreed on a case-by-case basis and will be negotiable.
Settlements will allow the clients to eliminate the foreign currency risk once and for all, and the interest rate risk for the next five years (it may change in the future depending on market conditions).
In working out the programme details, the bank drew from its experience gained from the recent pilot run. The bank tested a number of settlement variants among clients representative of the general population of borrowers. This exercise showed that the clients interested in loan currency conversion expected an individual approach, which was also proved by the results of a preference survey.
Who and when will get the settlement offer? How to sign a settlement?
The bank is planning to propose settlements to all its clients repaying CHF loans by mid-2023.
The clients should wait for the bank to contact them. The proposals may be sent by email (among other channels). That is why the clients should make sure that their contact details registered with the bank are up to date.
The bank will make quick and smooth servicing of all the clients its top priority and determine the order of contacting them accordingly.
The clients will be able to discuss detailed terms and conditions in a phone call with an assigned consultant from the bank. A client can sign the settlement in a branch of their choice during a single visit. It will not be necessary to confirm the settlement in court.
